Today we celebrate International Day for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage!

For us at AGC, October 17 is a moment of pride and reflection on the profound legacy of Czech glassmaking.

We commemorated this new holiday at the traditional gathering of Czech glassmakers, "Sklářské svítání" (Glassmaking Dawn), at the Museum of Glass and Jewelry in Jablonec.

The programme was enriched by our colleagues Petr Novák (AGC Flat Glass Czech) with a presentation on the revolutionary VOLTA hybrid glass furnace and Pavel Čumpelík (Wave by AGC) with a lecture on innovative glass solutions from Wave by AGC. It was an inspiring meeting that highlighted the connection between the craft of glassmaking and the progressive innovations that characterize our industry.

Czech glassmaking is more than just a process; it is a cultural treasure. And we are honoured to safeguard this heritage so that we can make the world a brighter place for future generations.
