Hackers Don't Knock on Doors

One of the main topics of the interview is the issue of compromising electromagnetic emissions, also known as TEMPEST.

So-called proximity attacks pose a significant risk, in which an attacker exploits a device’s electromagnetic communications without connecting to the corporate network.

Electronic devices generate electromagnetic emissions during operation. Under certain conditions, some of these signals can be intercepted and analyzed using specialized equipment.

For this reason, protection against compromising emissions has long been a priority in areas such as government, defense, and the handling of classified information.

The WAVETRAP technology, developed by AGC, focuses precisely on this area.

The solution uses specially modified glass that combines transparent conductive layers and other structural elements, which significantly limit the passage of electromagnetic signals.
